Rangers want to sign Chris Willock this summer and the Queens Park Rangers talent is allegedly keen on the move.
That is according to a report from the Daily Record, who claim that Rangers want a cut-price deal for Willock.
It’s stated that Willock has ‘made it clear’ he wants to make the move to Ibrox this summer.
Willock is out of contract this summer but QPR can activate a one-year extension to keep him at Loftus Road.
The report adds that Willock is a ‘priority target’ for Michael Beale this summer having previously worked together.
Beale coached Willock at QPR in the first few months of this season before leaving to become Rangers boss.
It’s even suggested that Willock joined QPR to reunite with Neil Banfield, his former coach in the Arsenal youth ranks.
Banfield is now part of Beale’s staff at Rangers, so another reunion could be on the cards.
Banfield even told The Independent last year that he fought for Willock on many occasions when some at Arsenal doubted his potential.

Who is Rangers target Chris Willock?
Willock, 25, is the brother of Newcastle United’s Joe Willock and also of ex-St Johnstone and St Mirren man Matty Willock.
Once in the Arsenal ranks, Willock made a surprise move to Portugal in 2017 as he joined Benfica.
Loans to West Bromwich Albion and Huddersfield Town didn’t really work out, so Willock left permanently to join QPR in 2020.
A versatile attacking player who predominantly plays on the left flank, Willock can also play as a number 10 or up top.
Willock was outstanding last season, bagging seven goals and 11 assists for QPR.
That form saw Mark Warburton hail Willock as ‘outstanding’ technically, with The Telegraph noting a ‘very strong’ reference from Banfield.
This season has been a little trickier; all six of Willock’s goals this term came under Beale.
Willock hasn’t found the net since October and he may believe it’s time for a change of scenery.
Rangers seemingly won’t have huge money to play with this summer so reuniting Willock with Beale and Banfield in a cut-price move makes total sense.
