Rangers are closing in on another signing with goalkeeper Jack Butland holding fresh talks over a move to Ibrox.
That is according to a report from the Daily Mail, who claim that Butland is edging closer to a move to Glasgow.
It’s stated that Butland held new talks with Rangers on Tuesday evening with a deal now being thrashed out.
The report claims that Rangers were initially ‘rocked’ by Butland’s wage demands and a move was in danger of falling apart.
However, Butland and Rangers have found a compromise and an agreement is now expected.
Michael Beale allegedly stressed that Butland was a vital player for his Rangers rebuild given his experience in the Premier League.
It has taken a little while but it looks like Rangers will finally be able to secure Butland in the coming days.

Rangers can give Jack Butland what he wants
Rangers have already secured two signings with playmaker Kieran Dowell and right back Dujon Sterling arriving on free transfers.
The Gers could now make it three with Butland, who would also be joining on a free transfer.
The former England international is coming to the end of his Crystal Palace contract and spent the second half of the season out on loan at Manchester United.
Butland failed to even make a single appearance for the Red Devils and spent his time on the bench.
Butland has now played just 10 league games in the last three seasons and this simply isn’t good enough.
Rangers can offer Butland the chance to become the undoubted first-choice goalkeeper, taking over from Allan McGregor.
Butland needs to be playing week in and week out after a frustrating few years and Rangers are giving him that perfect opportunity.
Once so highly rated, Butland needs to get back on track and Rangers will hope to see the kind of quality that resulted in Steven Gerrard urging Liverpool to sign the stopper.
