BBC Scotland reported after the meeting that the ‘general consensus’ was that clubs wanted to complete the current campaign, but that many were beginning to regard that possibility as unlikely.
Five clubs are said to have claimed the imminent expiration of player contracts ensures they’ll soon be unable to field a team.
This latest Daily Record report suggests that it’s not just those clubs who have given up hope of fulfilling their fixtures, though. Citing a source, they claim up to 75% of the teams in the division want the season ended now.

Verdict
The SPFL and SFA joint response group is set to hold talks with the Scottish government on Tuesday to discuss the best way forward, but if this number of clubs have already given up hope, the campaign is as good as over.
Rangers have insisted throughout the global health crisis that every effort should be made to complete the season, but there is much less enthusiasm for a restart in Scotland than there is in England, Spain and Italy.
SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster confirmed over the weekend that there is around £7 million in SPFL accounts waiting to be released [BBC Scotland] and in these trying financial times, many clubs want access to that as soon as possible.
It now seems a matter of when, rather than if, the Premiership season is brought to an end.
