Rangers striker Antonio Colak is wanted by Werder Bremen as the Bundesliga club fear losing their top two forwards this summer.

That is according to German newspaper Bild, who claim that Bremen are looking towards Colak.

Werder are trying to keep hold of Marvin Ducksch despite a €12million (£10.3million) offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Wehda.

Ducksch has smashed 32 goals in 64 games for Werder and wants to stay despite a lucrative offer to leave.

Werder also need to think about replacements in case star striker Niclas Fullkrug leaves the club this summer amid interest from Bayern Munich.

Bild now state that, should Werder need a striker this summer, then they are interested in taking Rangers target man Colak.

It’s noted that Werder have scouted Colak and his history in Germany makes him appealing.

The Croatian forward was born in Germany and has turned out for Nurnberg, Hoffenheim, Kaiserslautern, Darmstadt and Ingolstadt in the past.

A move back to Germany may appeal to Colak, especially with Bundesliga football on offer at Bremen.

Antonio Colak’s Rangers exit could get complicated

Plenty of rumours in recent times have suggested that Colak is available for transfer this summer.

Rangers only signed Colak for £1.8million from PAOK last summer but Michael Beale seems happy to move him on already.

Yet it’s hard to see Rangers sanctioning an exit right now as they weigh up their own striking options.

Sam Lammers is in but the former Atalanta forward hasn’t exactly been a regular goalscorer in recent years.

The hope was that Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers would be coming in, but that deal is up in the air.

Rangers may not want to offload Colak until getting in another striker of their own, but it’s encouraging that there is interest out there.

Bremen’s interest depends on an outgoing or two but with Fullkrug and Ducksch both wanted men, Rangers may receive a phone call or two from the Bundesliga side.
