Next up on the calendar for Rangers is Rapid Vienna in the Europa League and the Ibrox team’s opponents are in complete disarray.
Rapid are ninth in the Austrian Bundesliga and have achieved just two wins from nine league games this season. Their terrible form continued against St. Polten as they were defeated 2-0 and had a man sent off.
Rapid Vienna are really struggling at the minute. It looks like a great time for Rangers to face them.
On and off field problems for Rapid Vienna
Rapid have only achieved nine points from a possible 27 this season. They haven’t won in the league since August. Things are not clicking on the pitch for the Austrians, and off it there has been problems too.

Manager Goran Djuricin was forced to deny making a rude gesture to the Rapid Vienna fans midweek.
Rangers have a real chance to get three points and make a statement in the group.
No easy games, but Rangers have chance
The stumbling Austrian outfit may be struggling in the league, but in Europe things are quite different.
They sit top of Rangers Europa League group after a surprise 2-0 win over Spartak Moscow. If Rangers can get a result on Thursday, they stand a real chance of getting through the group stages.
And if Rapid Vienna can get a result against Spartak, then surely Rangers can compete with the Russians?
Things will be a lot clearer from Thursday night.
