RangersTV commentator Clive Tyldesley has been branded a “brave, brave man” by Gers fans for a video he uploaded with Ibrox legend Walter Smith.
Rangers were lauded by supporters for having the ex-Gers gaffer on the club’s coverage against Kilmarnock with Smith’s influence still very evident at Ibrox.
But commenting on the Ibrox gaffer’s blue suit and brown brogues, RangersTV’s Tyldesley was sharing a joke along with ex-Gers stars Neil McCann and Alex Rae and RangersTV host Emma Dodds.
In the video shared on Tyldesley’s Instagram, the iconic broadcasting voice asks “So, it’s got to be brown brogues and navy trousers to be a Rangers man?”
Tyldesley then quips after pointing the camera to Smith, “is he a Rangers man? I don’t know I don’t recognise him!”
With Smith considered a fierce man to get on the wrong side of, Rangers fans believe Tyldesley was treading a fine line with the legendary 9IAR boss.

RangersTV commentator Clive Tyldesley has been also been winning fans for comments the broadcaster made about Celtic’s claims to 10IAR.
Tyldesley aimed a dig at the Celtic Park club as he talked up Rangers’ attempts at securing a world record 55th title.
“My personal view for what it’s worth is that stopping 10 in a row is not a motivation,” said Tyldesley [RangersTV].
“Motivation for me is a positive energy it’s what you can achieve not what you can stop or prevent.
“55 should be the magic number for the season, not 10.
“Rangers weren’t even in the Premiership for four of those nine Celtic seasons.”

The broadcaster was signed up for RangersTV in the summer with behind-closed-doors games meaning the club’s media coverage would come under greater scrutiny this season.
Commentator Tyldesley was also made available after making a public plea for an explanation following a demotion by broadcasters ITV.
