In an exciting piece of news, Rangers’ YouTube account is the 16th highest in Europe for views over August.
The news has coincided with the appointment of Steven Gerrard as manager. The appointment has evidently brought viewers streaming to the Ibrox club’s official channel.
Over the month of August alone, Rangers received 2.15million views on their videos – a record high for the account. Barcelona topped the list with 30million, but Rangers continued to grow as the Gerrard effect went viral.
This isn’t something that could stop here either. These are numbers that have gradually been building over a period of time since Gerrard arrived.
In June, Rangers totalled over 730,000 views of their content. The mammoth amount of goings on at the club over the month of July also skyrocketed views. Indeed, the Gers finished the month with a grand total of 1.7m views.
It’s no surprise that supporters of other clubs have flooded to the channel. The impact Gerrard has had on a global scale at Ibrox has been off the charts. This has been proved evidently not only in the class of player coming to the club, but also social media views.
There’s no reason to suggest these stats can’t grow even more. The club are one of the most refreshing in Scotland for their online content.
Doing their best to provide fans with unique and refreshing ideas, the Rangers official YouTube channel always has something different.
It’s been an incredible few months under Gerrard so far. The Rangers manager has got the club qualified for the Europa League, and has brought in 15 fresh faces. Having faced his first Old Firm encounter and trips to Pittodrie and Fir Park, it’s been a whirlwind for Gerrard.
It remains to be seen how Rangers’ social media content continues to grow. Regardless, it shows the club continue to be on the right track in more than one aspect.
