Everyone and their dog is having their say on the San Francisco 49ers linked Rangers takeover talks.
Talks between Rangers and a consortium connected to the 49ers are at an advanced stage as Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe, also part of the investment arm of the American football side, looks to strike a deal.
It has since been claimed a deal for a controlling stake in the club is ‘almost done and dusted’ with Gers valued at £100milllion ahead of the proposed takeover.
While Rangers News has learned that while he is the main man behind pushing for a deal to be concluded, Marathe would not become chairman at Ibrox.
Barry Ferguson reckons the club needs fresh investment ‘as clear as day’ and has welcomed the news of the consortium’s involvement, although warned fans not to get too excited yet.
As we said, everyone is having their say. But not everyone is a financial expert.

Kieran Maguire gives thoughts on potential Rangers takeover
Kieran Maguire is the founder of the Price of Football and the go-to-guy for all things financial in the football world.
He was the one who yesterday broke news of the Rangers share issue, later confirming the shares were sold at 20p each.
And he has now given his thoughts on the 49ers Enterprises involvement in a potential Gers takeover.
Maguire has warned there would not be a “huge cash injection” because of their involvement with Leeds United already, and identified what is the biggest issue at Rangers.
He said on social media: “The biggest issue at Rangers is in relation to boardroom and investor issues as there has been a lot of conflict, although things seem to be improving.
“New owners could assist, but note that SF49’ers already own Leeds United so it is unlikely to be a huge cash injection.”
Red Bull considering Rangers investment
While all of this goes on, Red Bull are also in the background considering investing in Rangers, Rangers News has learned.
Red Bull took a minority stake in Leeds United, described by Marathe as a ‘historic milestone’.
With those close links to 49ers Enterprises, we understand the Austrians are watching events at Ibrox from afar and will consider investing further down the line.
They are not involved with the consortium fronted up by Marathe.
