Legendary Romania striker and the nation’s joint-top scorer Adrian Mutu has been imparting some free-kick wisdom onto Rangers wonderkid Ianis Hagi.
Mutu is tied on 35-goals alongside Ianis’ legendary footballing father Gheorghe with the 22-year-old youngster having the hopes of a nation on his shoulders.

Given his namesake, Ianis has been much hyped in Romania throughout his young career but has yet to fully set the heather alight on the international stage.
Dropped down to the Romania U21 squad, former Chelsea, Juventus and Fiorentina striker Mutu was filmed training the Rangers youngster about how to hit a free-kick.
Mutu has a superb record for Romania (77 caps, 35 goals) and is probably the country’s second greatest export behind Ianis’s dad Gheorghe Hagi (124 caps, 35 goals).
Ianis has so far made 14 appearances for Romania but is yet to find the net amid complaints over new national team coach Mirel Radoi.
Rangers midfielder Ianis was dropped down to the U21 squad after an outburst about former Romania hero Radoi in the aftermath of the nation’s 4-0 defeat to Norway in the last break.
“You should ask the selector (Radoi) about the fact that we did not have opportunities!” said Hagi [Digisport].
“You run 4-5 minutes after the ball and when you have the ball at your feet you can’t do anything, you lose your energy, your breath, you can only take out a foul.
“We are at the beginning of the road with the new coach and we could not apply on the field what is transmitted to us from the sidelines.

“The anger is great, I do not want to say anything stupid.”
Hopefully by listening to the expert advice of the likes of Adrian Mutu the midfielder can build back some trust and get back into the senior Romania set-up.
