Rangers winger Brandon Barker is a doubt for the trip to Ross County after sustaining an injury against Motherwell.

The surprise summer signing started the match against the Fir Park side and Ibrox assistant Gary McAllister revealed that he “landed awkwardly” during the match.

But alongside goalkeeper Allan McGregor, who is also struggling from Motherwell [Rangers], and fellow winger Ryan Kent, who is being “managed”, Rangers hope everyone will be fit.

Thankfully, Rangers are blessed in the wide positions and any absence of Barker may present an opportunity to another of the club’s wide players.

Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo is waiting in the wings, whilst Greg Stewart has displayed good form since coming into the Ibrox side a few weeks ago.

Ryan Kent could also be called upon, whilst Jamie Murphy is still stepping up his fitness after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Jordan Jones is still out with that injury he sustained in the Old Firm defeat to Celtic.

Brandon Barker, 23, joined Rangers from Manchester City in the summer for an undisclosed fee in one of the surprising deals of the campaign.

But he is clearly well thought of at Ibrox and has shown in flashes of the ability which has brought him to Glasgow and saw him rise through the ranks at City.

Barker has made seven appearances so far for Rangers, scoring once in the 3-1 win over Livingston at Ibrox.

His time at Ibrox so far has been stifled with injury with the player picking up a knee problem which kept him out till September.
