TEAMtalk reports that Rangers will launch a bid for Eamonn Brophy this summer.
The 23-year-old forward was a standout for Kilmarnock this season, as they secured third place in the SPL.
He was particularly effective over the first half of the season, netting eight times. However, he did still chip in occasionally after the winter break, scoring in both of Killie’s home wins over the Gers. Overall, he netted 12 times across the 2018/19 campaign.
There was some major news for the former Celtic youth player on Tuesday afternoon, too.
He was called up to the Scotland squad for the first time. He’s
one of four Killie players included in Steven Clarke’s maiden international squad. No Rangers players were selected, though, with Ryan Jack overlooked again. Not that that bothered too many Bears.
Brophy is contracted at Rugby Park until 2021 and is valued at £450k [

Yet, Rangers aren’t the only club said to be interested. The report also lists Leeds United and Derby County as potential suitors.
Therefore, if Brophy is to head for pastures new, it may come down to whether he fancies a dip at the SPL title, or a promotion charge in the Championship.
