Rangers vs Lincoln Red Imps to be shown on RangersTV as details confirmed

The Europa League second round qualifying tie between Rangers and Lincoln Red Imps is set to be shown live on RangersTV [].

Earlier this week, Premier Sports confirmed their intention to broadcast the fixture.

However, it has now emerged that regardless of where in the world they are watching from, Gers supporters will have an alternative to the subscription-based British sports network.

Thatโ€™s because RangersTV will also be showing the match, which kicks off at 4pm UK time on 17 September.

A presenting team of Emma Dodds, Neil McCann and Mark Hateley has been confirmed for the crucial qualifier, as the Gers try to do what Celtic failed to in 2016, by securing an away win over Lincoln.

The news is likely to be well received by supporters, many of whom have been impressed by the much-improved RangersTV service this season.

A victory for the Gers against their Gibraltarian opposition would set up a clash against either old foes Progres Niederkorn or Willem II in the third qualifying round.

That potential fixture and the play-off round would also be shown on RangersTV, should Steven Gerrardโ€™s men progress to those stages.

Confidence will be high for the Gers going into qualifying given that they have made it through to the competition proper in each of the last two seasons, but the one-tie format makes upsets more likely and some big clubs will be lying in wait in the final round.

Meanwhile, a Rangers defender is preparing to test himself against a global superstar in the Nations League.
