Is Rangers v Partick Thistle on TV? Many are wondering ahead of the Scottish Cup clash at Ibrox on Sunday.

Michael Beale welcomes Ian McCall to Glasgow as he aims to take the Gers into the Scottish Cup quarter-finals, after overseeing a 1-0 win against St Johnstone in the fourth round.

However, supporters are unaware if they will be able to watch their side in action.

So, is Rangers v Partick Thistle on TV? Let’s take a look…

Is Rangers v Partick Thistle on TV?

Well, the game between Rangers and Partick Thistle is being shown on TV – however, it will come at a cost.

Viaplay will be showing the action from Ibrox, although supporters will have to subscribe to the broadcasting service on their official website.

The Viaplay Total Monthly package – which is needed for access to their sports screenings – costs £14.99 a month, or £11.99 a month if you sign up for a 12 month package as they are offering a 20% off deal.

Other than Viaplay – which is channel number 412 on Sky – it seems there is no alternative way to watch the Scottish Cup clash between Rangers and Partick Thistle on Sunday, which kicks off at 4pm GMT.

This is sure to frustrate Beale, who, at the start of February when Rangers met Hearts, expressed his disappointment that Scottish football was not more easily accessible to people.

As quoted by the Daily Record, the 42-year-old said: “It was disappointing that the game wasn’t on TV. You have two teams unbeaten over ten games and something that had to give.

“There was optimism in the air in the Hearts team and maybe in general in football with people saying, ‘okay, let’s see where Rangers are at’ and I thought it was always going to be a good game. It’s not so much in the media down there.

“We’ve got good players in the league, players who have gone out of our league and done really well. Maybe we need to talk our game up a little bit.”
