This Sunday Rangers travel to Almondvale to face off against a Livingston side who’re putting up a strong fight in the Scottish Premiership.
The Lions are level on points with Rangers with 11 but have a considerably weaker goal difference. Make no mistake, this is going to be a tough test for Rangers. Rangers v Livingston always was, but what happened the last time the two teams faced each other?
Rangers traditionally find it tricky in West Lothian
Rangers have only won two of their last seven trips to Almondvale/Tony Macaroni Arena.
It’s traditionally a difficult place to go for Rangers and given Livi’s form under new manager Gary Holt it should be no different.
In the last match between the two teams in the Scottish Championship in April 2016 at the Tony Macaroni. Rangers were defeated 1-0 thanks to a goal from former Gers player Craig Halkett.

This came after Rangers had clinched promotion back to the top league but it was their third game without victory at the time. We’d go on to infamously fluff the Scottish Cup. Rangers v Livingston this time round is a lot different.
Who was playing the last time?
Rangers had an interesting lineup 29 months ago, and there are few who remain.
Warburton’s reign came and went with 30 players. Only four remain.
Wes Foderingham played, and so did James Tavernier. And so did Andy Halliday. Stalwart Lee Wallace was of course a part of the team too. The rest seem a bit of a distant memory already. Including Livi’s former manager.
Rangers XI v Livingston (2016) – Wes Foderingham, James Tavernier, Dominic Ball, Danny Wilson, Lee Wallace, Gedion Zelalem, Dean Shiels, Andy Halliday, Billy King, Kenny Miller, Michael O’Halloran.
