Rangers have a huge task to overcome a one goal deficit against Leipzig on Thursday in the Europa League at Ibrox.
The club are on the brink of history, looking to secure a place in their first European Final since 2008 and here at Rangers News, we looked at the four significant numbers that could help inspire the Ibrox men to victory on Thursday and hopefully Seville.

72
The first and most obvious number, in 1972 Rangers won their only European Trophy to date defeating Dinamo Moscow 3-2 in Barcelona.
What some fans may not know is that is also the current age of former defender Jim Denny who played the first match of the club’s historic run to the final in a 1-1 draw against Rennes.
With the club also being founded in 1872, the number 72 is possibly the most famous number associated with the club.
Can it be of great significance again?

150
This year marks the 150th Anniversary of Rangers and what a way it would be to celebrate it by winning the Europa League.
The club celebrated their historic anniversary with a 1-0 win over Aberdeen in March when Kemar Roofe scored a late winner.
The striker scored the winner against Braga to take Rangers to this stage and surely will be a crucial player for the return leg against Leipzig if fit.
10
The number of years since Rangers were entered into administration.
The club entered administration on Valentine’s Day in 2014 and have since been down the lower divisions and back.
Even after returning to the top flight, it was still a difficult period for the club who watched on as Celtic won trophy after trophy until finally securing last season’s title.
What a way it would be to conquer the club’s demons over the last decade and win the Europa League.
55
55 Titles, 55 years.

Rangers first ever experience of a European Final was 55 years ago, facing Bayern Munich in the 1967 European Cup Winners Cup Final.
The Germans overcame the Light Blues 1-0 after a Franz Roth goal in extra time secured a victory for the East Germans
Rangers avenged their defeat in the 1972 semi final with a young Derek Parlane scoring to give Rangers a 3-1 aggregate win.
We all know Rangers won their historic 55th title last year, could that special number be an omen heading into Thursday’s game?
