If Rangers v Kilmarnock wasn’t already a high-pressure cup match, it certainly is now. After the weekend’s results Rangers need a top performance to keep our dreams of silverware alive.
Whilst all is not completely lost in the league, it’d take a special comeback to get 55 this year.
Should we resign the title to Parkhead again, the next challenge is to stop another treble. Who else is going to do it?
In order to do that we’ll need to defeat Killie at Ibrox on Wednesday. After stumbling against St. Johnstone, a deflated side will need to pick themselves up quickly.
The one positive is that for this tie Alfredo Morelos will be back available for Rangers. His absence on Saturday proves how important a player he is for the club, and it’s a responsibility he must now shoulder more effectively.
Kilmarnock come off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Celtic and the robust, physical outfit will be looking to prove their resolve in Govan. Expect the side to play very similarly to how St. Johnstone did on Saturday.

This could potentially be a season defining match and one where we need to be at it from the first whistle. The prize for winning this one is a trip to Pittodrie in the next round, the prospect of which already has some fans excited.
