Tickets for the friendly match with HJK Helsinki on the 20th of January went on sale today. The Finnish Champions will travel to Ibrox for the tie, which was announced in December.

It kicks off at 12pm a week this Sunday.

With only 3500 tickets going to Gers fans for the Cowdenbeath match a few days before the tie, will this be most people’s first chance to catch a glimpse of our new signings? It could well be Jermain Defoe’s Ibrox debut and the return of Steven Davis.

The experienced duo signed up on loan from Premier League outfits Southampton and Bournemouth respectively. Fans are eager to see what they bring to the table.

The friendly game will be a lot of Rangers fans first chance to see their new signings in action. Tickets are available from the Rangers website and you can purchase them here.

Despite it being a friendly, there should still be a strong turnout for the match. There always is at Ibrox.

The Finnish outfit – who have a record 29 title wins in Finland – are currently celebrating their second title on the trot. They’ll be treating the match as a pre-season test.

HJK Helsinki is also the side Rangers signed Alfredo Morelos from. Rangers talismanic Colombian striker joined the Gers at the start of last season from the Finns for an undisclosed fee.

It’ll be a fun, family friendly day-out and one both Rangers fans and fans of HJK Helsinki will enjoy. It’s also a chance to get the player’s fitness up going into a challenging fixture list.

We play Kilmarnock only three days later.
