Rangers assistant Gary McAllister has hinted that Nathan Patterson has recovered from a knock picked up against Celtic at the weekend [Rangers FC Twitter], but he could still miss Wednesday night’s fixture against St Johnstone.
Patterson was outstanding in Sunday’s Old Firm win at Ibrox, contributing to a clean sheet and impressing once again in attack.

After the game, Steven Gerrard waxed lyrical about the 19-year-old, who has “become a man in a short space of time” but stated that he had “got a kick in the last 15 minutes” [FourFourTwo].
With a trip to McDiarmid Park coming just three days later, there were concerns that the knock would sideline him.
However, McAllister stated in a press conference on Tuesday morning that there was “no fresh injury news”, suggesting that the teenager and all other players who featured in Sunday’s win are fit.
Patterson may still miss out on the Saints clash, though, with Rangers’ ‘Covid Five’ appeal hearing set to take place on Tuesday.
Patterson, Calvin Bassey, Bongani Zungu, Dapo Mebude and Brian Kinnear were all initially hit with four-match bans, with a further two suspended, after breaching Covid regulations in February.
Rangers subsequently appealed the verdict and those involved have been able to feature for the Gers and their loan clubs in the interim.
However, with a verdict likely to come out before Rangers’ trip to Perth, any kind of ban would rule Patterson and fellow first-team players Bassey and Zungu out of contention.
In other news, a big announcement has been made which constitutes a ‘major boost’ for Rangers and other Premiership clubs.
