A Rangers U21 side will face off against their Manchester United equivalents in this summer’s opener to the STATSports SuperCupNI.
The game will be played Coleraine Showgrounds on Saturday, July 27 at 5.30pm.
It’s the latest chance for the impressive Rangers youth set-up to test themselves against some of Europe’s best young players.

STATSports SuperCupNI chairman Victor Leonard said:
“The introduction of the challenge game was very much an experiment and we are delighted that it has continued to be popular the fans who support our tournament in huge numbers.
“It is an entertaining way to kick off the competition with the parade of competing teams following the next day ahead of the week’s competition.”
The Rangers youth set-up came in for much praise last season after the side won four trophies.
An U17 team won the Qatari ALKASS Cup before the Academy won the U18s League and the Scottish FA Youth Cup.
Academy players were also involved in the winning of the country’s Reserve league.
It will also be a bit of a homecoming for two Northern Ireland youth internationals currently impressing at Rangers.

Striker Chris McKee and centre-back Kyle McClelland are both current Northern Ireland youth internationals.
Both players were part of the young Rangers side that lifted the prestigious ALKASS Cup earlier in the year.
