Rangers wanted to sign Pablo Torre last summer, and it seems that the Gers will get another chance to bring the Barcelona youngster to Ibrox.
Rangers linked with Barcelona playmaker Pablo Torre
In April, Sport reported that Rangers went to sign Torre from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
The Scottish Premiership giants reportedly wanted the 20-year-old attacking midfielder last summer, but he ended up moving to Barcelona from Racing Santander.
Barcelona’s plan
While the youngster has played for the Barcelona first team this season and has been hailed as a “natural talent” who “has a great passing ability” by head coach Xavi, AS have reported that the Spanish and European giants are planning to send him out on loan for next season.
The report has claimed that Villarreal are the favourites to secure the services of the Spain Under-21 international on a loan deal.

Summer transfer to Rangers possible
However, we believe that Rangers could still land Torre on loan for next season.
Now, Barcelona will want the youngster to develop in an environment that is similar to theirs.
After all, there would be no point in sending Torre to a club where the footballing philosophy is very different.
Rangers, though, do play attacking football under manager Michael Beale.
Beale will be determined to mould the Rangers team in his own image and stamp his ideas on the sides.
And the Gers will be challenging for the Scottish Premiership title next season, just as Barcelona will be aiming to win La Liga.
Torre is a very young player who could be receptive to new ideas, and the fact that Rangers wanted him last summer shows how much they like him.
The Scottish Premiership is a physical league, and that would help Torre as well in his development as a footballer.
And Rangers could well play in the UEFA Champions League next season.
The Gers have finished second in the Scottish Premiership table this season, which means that they will enter the UEFA Champions League at the third qualifying round stage.
So, Barcelona could be able to see how Torre does against the top teams in Europe if he moved to Rangers.
Torre has made five substitute appearances in La Liga, one start and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League, and two starts in the Copa del Rey for Barcelona this season.
