Josh Maja has suggested that he could join Rangers in the summer transfer window.
The former Sunderland striker has been quoted as saying by The Scottish Sun that he will “see” what happens at the end of the season in regard to a move to Rangers.
The Scottish Sun have reported that Rangers want to sign Maja in the summer transfer window.
The Nigeria international striker is out of contract at his French club Bordeaux at the end of the season.
Maja, who cost Bordeaux £3.5 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Sunderland in 2019 (The Scottish Sun), has said that he will also weigh up the option to stay at the French club.
The 24-year-old has made 31 starts and three substitute appearances in Ligue 2 for Bordeaux this season.
The striker has scored 16 goals in those games.
Bordeaux are second in the Ligue 2 table at the moment with 65 points from 34 matches, three points behind leaders Le Havre, who have played 33 games.

Josh Maja on potential Rangers move
Maja said when asked about reported interest from Rangers: “I can’t think about that at the moment.
“We have so many important games before the end of the season and I have to concentrate on that only.
“We’ll see what happens at the end of the season. I have to wait to hear what the management of this club says and whether they want to keep me.”
Summer transfer possible
In our view, Rangers could be able to sign Josh Maja on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.
That the striker has not ruled out a move to Michael Beale’s side at the end of the season suggests that he is at least open to a switch to the Scottish Premiership club.
Now, of course, Maja is not going to make a decision right now.
Bordeaux are in the running for promotion to Ligue 1, and if they do get top-flight status for next season, then it could affect the striker’s decision.
Rangers will also have to make a very good offer to the striker to convince him to move to Ibrox.
