Slavia Prague manager Jindrich Trpisovsky has suggested that Rangers would be the ideal opponent for his side in the Europa League Round of 32 [Daily Record].
The Gers are seeded for the draw that’s due to take place at noon on Monday, after finishing top of Group D with 14 points from their six matches.

Czech top-flight leaders Slavia are one of 15 possible opponents after they finished second in Group C to Bayer Leverkusen and above both Hapoel Beer-Sheva and Nice.
Trpisovsky’s side are unbeaten in the league so far this season and it sounds as though he feels he is capable of halting Steven Gerrard in his tracks.
“I would like a team that would suit us typologically, someone from the Netherlands, for example,” he said [Daily Record]. “There is, for example, Ajax or PSV.”
“An ideal mix would be a club with a big name and at the same time a chance to advance through it.
“If I had to say one particular team, it would probably be the Glasgow Rangers. That would be a good draw.”

Trpisovsky’s comments will no doubt be relayed to the Gers players should the two sides be drawn together on Monday.
A two-legged affair against the Czech giants would no doubt be difficult, but it’s not the toughest tie Rangers could land.
RB Salzburg and Olympiacos are two of the big teams to drop down from the Champions League, while plenty of Bears are hoping their club isn’t paired with La Liga surprise package Real Sociedad.
Rangers have a Premiership game to win before the draw takes place, though, and here’s our Predicted XI for Sunday’s trip to Dundee United.
