Rangers have received a significant boost to their European fortunes after it was revealed the club will be seeded for Europa League Qualifying Round 2 [Daily Record].
This presents Rangers with a better chance of progression from a potentially tricky round. The club is also seeded for Europa League Qualifying Round 1.
But with a quick glance at Kassiesa, Rangers are also shown to be the final side to make the seeding in the 2nd qualifying round. Phew. It’s so close.

Should Rangers have not been seeded for this round, you can see we might’ve faced the likes of AS Roma or Eintracht Frankfurt.
Those sides would be considerably more difficult than a Cork City or a Stjarnan FC. We’ve somewhat scraped it into the pot and Rangers won’t be complaining.
The club is looking to make it to the Europa League group stages for the second year in a row. Last season, Rangers faced Macdeonia’s FK Shkupi, Croatia’s NK Osijek, Slovenia’s NK Maribor and Russia’s FC Ufa to make the tournament.

Rangers fans might be hoping for a few trips closer to home this time as they hope to secure European football at Ibrox.
And if the nights on the way there are anything like last season, fans are in for a treat.
