Rangers have made no secret of their desire to bring Ryan Kent back to Ibrox this season [Liverpool Echo].
Steven Gerrard is a big admirer and clearly feels the 22-year-old’s presence would help with the charge for a 55th top-flight league title.

However, he’s still very much a Liverpool player.
That much was made abundantly clear on Sunday when he started and starred in a pre-season victory for the Reds. They travelled to Bradford City and emerged 3-1 winners, with Kent having a hand in all three goals.
Liverpool took the lead after 13 minutes through James Milner, who applied the finishing touches to a Kent pull-back.

The electric winger was then felled in the area two minutes later, allowing Milner to double the advantage.
Fast forward to the stroke of half-time and the former Gers loanee was in the thick of it once more. He set up Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin whose shot was deflected into the path of another promising youngster, Rhian Brewster, who made it three.

It appears Kent is taking his opportunity to impress Jurgen Klopp in the absence of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino.
If this form continues in upcoming friendlies, it’s surely unlikely the Liverpool manager will sanction another loan deal.

The 22-year-old is showing everyone at Anfield what the fuss is all about. Unfortunately, at the same time, that could hinder Rangers’ chances of getting him back.
This guys stats might not be outstanding, but there’s no doubting his X factor.
