With two big games in the rear-view mirror, the Dominic Solanke speculation is sure to be ramped up ahead of January.
He’s Rangers’ number one striking target this January, with cover desperately needed to aid the club’s title-bid in the New Year.
Yet, despite that, it appears that the club are now under serious threat of losing out on their top-target. According to the BBC, three Premier League clubs are interested in moving for the England Under-21 star.

Crystal Palace, Brighton, and Huddersfield Town are all looking to sign the youngster up on loan. As well as that, a host of Championship clubs are also interested in taking Solanke.
Meanwhile, the Scottish Sun believe that FOUR Premier League clubs are interested in him. The other is apparently Watford.
Competition will be high regardless
Regardless of how many are interested, the competition is heating up. It’s widely-acknowledged that Rangers can’t compete financially with Premier League sides. A loan deal, however, could turn the tide in Rangers’ favour given a transfer fee isn’t involved.
It could come down to a clash of wages between all of the clubs. Solanke is on a reported £20,000-per-week, according to the Sunday Express. Rangers could pay a sizable chunk of that if they so wished.
But the Premier League would be a tempting offer for Solanke to turn down. Compared to the Scottish Premiership, it only takes a few good performances in England to get recognised. The likes of James Maddison is a fine example after spending a successful season on-loan at Aberdeen. He was only really noticed down south, however, after several displays in the English top-flight.

Rangers will be hoping the Steven Gerrard effect comes into play here. Putting in a good shift for the Liverpool legend would certainly have Solanke in the good books with the Liverpudlians.
He’s still yet to make a single appearance for the Merseysiders this season. He’s scored once for the club since moving from Chelsea last season, but has yet to make his big break.
For three weeks in Scotland the football is over. Now is the time for speculation to get ramped up.
