Steven Lawless is excited to make his second Motherwell debut against Rangers on Sunday after rejoining the Steelmen from Burton Albion on Friday [Not The Old Firm].
Lawless started his career at Fir Park but a lack of regular game time saw him leave for Partick Thistle in 2012.
He represented the Jags for six years prior to a two-year stint at Livingston and a six-month spell at EFL League One side Burton, before returning to Scotland earlier this week for ‘family reasons’ [BBC Sport]
Lawless is eligible to face Rangers on Sunday, which is a big boost for the lifelong bluenose.
The 29-year-old has made his love for the Gers clear in the past and just last week, he made a dig at Celtic on social media following their 1-1 draw with Hibernian at Parkhead.

Lawless will bring extra industry and quality to a Well side looking to move away from the foot of the table under new manager Graham Alexander, and he’s excited about Sunday afternoon’s game.
“It’s a good one to warm-up with!” he said [Not The Old Firm]. “I couldn’t have picked a harder game but this place has always been hard for the Old Firm.”
“It is different without fans but we still need to make this a difficult place for them. They are a good team, they are doing very well this season but we need to focus on ourselves.”
Motherwell showed signs of improvement during their 1-1 draw with St Mirren last weekend and the signing of Lawless will boost them further in terms of creativity in the final third.
However, Rangers travel to Fir Park as massive favourites given that they have won 15 Premiership matches on the trot and triumphed 5-1 at the venue in September.
