Rangers supporters have pounced on bizarre comments from Hibs fans defending Ryan Porteous on social media.
The centre-back was given a straight red card for a challenge on Borna Barisic an hour into Friday night’s clash at Easter Road.
In the BT Sport studio, Ally McCoist said it was as bad a tackle as he’d seen in a ‘long long time’.
Some opposition fans remarkably believe their man was hard done by, but Bears didn’t waste any time putting them right.

Verdict
It’s quite incredible how any football fan could deny that this was a clear red card offence.
Porteous did win the ball, but he was always going to get there first, that part was never in doubt.
The sickening aspect of the incident is that he actively slowed down in order to line up Barisic, before following through with his studs up in a deliberate attempt to catch him.
It was a horrific challenge from a player who got away with something not dissimilar on Lassana Coulibaly last season but wasn’t so fortunate this time around.
Thankfully, Barisic emerged relatively unscathed, but that’s down to luck more than anything else.
