It seems to be two steps forward and one back in terms of Rangers luck with injuries at the moment as Philippe Clement explained a couple of absentees in his pre-match build up.
With Borna Barisic, Ryan Jack and Tom Lawrence all making a welcome return against Copenhagen, the Gers boss is starting to see his squad get closer to full strength.
Unfortunately, it’s not all been good news though with Rangers now seeing Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling require treatment, Philippe Clement explaining to Rangers TV how long the pair will be out for.

Rangers injury update as Philippe Clement gives the bad news
Dowell and Sterling formed an unlikely partnership in midfield towards the end of December, however, it looks like there will be little chance of the duo being seen again together.
Speaking ahead of the friendly with the Danes, Rangers boss Philippe Clement gave fans the bad news:
“Kieran was really unlucky that he stuck in the grass on a bad pitch in Malaga so he will be out quite a long time normally, we need to make a good assessment around that.
“How many weeks? But he will not be back in the next couple of weeks, that’s for sure.
‘And Dujon, just got a knock in a duel and he was not fit for today but I expect him back at the end of the week.”
Dowell had just started to establish himself again as a reliable option for Clement and did well in the games he played.
He was late joining up with the squad in Spain and looks to have been unlucky almost as soon as he got on the training pitches because there is no sign of him in any of the Rangers media team’s coverage of the camp.
It is good news for Sterling though.
He has been a revelation for Philippe Clement in midfield and could well spend the rest of his Rangers career there having been signed, predominantly, as a right back.
Injuries have been a nightmare for the last two seasons with key players like Danilo seemingly always being affected.
It’s a blow but, for once, it’s not as bad as it could have been.
