Rangers stunned Ajax youth star Raphael Sarfo with their impressive swoop for Dave Vos last month.
Ajax have one of the most prestigious youth systems in the world and Vos was U18s head coach and in charge of their UEFA Youth League squad before the Gers registered interest.

It didn’t take him long to decide to leave Amsterdam for Glasgow, though, taking up the role of assistant manager at Ibrox.
Sarfo says he and his teammates were shocked and disappointed by Vos’ exit.
“I was not very happy with that,” he said [Daily Record]. “I have known him all my youth at Ajax and I have a very good relationship with him.”
“It was a bit of a shock because it actually came out of nowhere. But I think if we just stay strong as a team and remember his game principles it will work.”

These comments give an indication of just how respected the new Rangers coach was at Ajax.
17-year-old Netherlands youth international Sarfo and his teammates were in the hunt to progress from UYL Champions League Path Group C with Vos at the helm.
However, they blew a two-goal lead at home to Sporting Lisbon in his absence on Tuesday ensuring they only finished third in their group.
Meanwhile, Rangers downed Septemvri Sofia in their second round Domestic Champions Path fixture, meaning they advance to a playoff against a runner-up from Champions League path group.
