Rangers striker Morelos spotted in Glasgow Gers store

Rangers star Alfredo Morelos was a surprise customer in the Gers store in central Glasgow on Wednesday afternoon.

The striker has been in red-hot form this season, netting a remarkable 26 goals so far for club and country.

His woes against Celtic continued at the weekend, though, when he was unable to find a way past an inspired Fraser Forster, even from the penalty spot, in a 1-0 defeat.

Yet, his response hasn’t been to go into hiding but to head out into Glasgow for some shopping, even calling into the Gers store at St Enoch’s.

The forward was spotted in the queue having picked up bags full of merchandise, perhaps as Christmas presents for friends and family members back in Colombia.

Having picked up the items, he posed for a photo with a fan which went down well on social media.

Here’s a selection of reactions from Twitter:

Morelos will be hoping to partially make amends for the weekend by getting back to goalscoring ways against Young Boys this evening.

A draw would be enough for the Gers to reach the knockout stages, while victory will guarantee that they finish as winners of Group G.

Here’s our Predicted XI for the game.
