Rangers star Jordan Jones has been tipped for the Ibrox exit door this January just weeks after being offered hope of a miraculous return for the club.
Jones, 26, received a seven-game ban alongside teammate George Edmundson, 23, back in November for breaching Covid-19 guidelines to attend a house party which was broken up by police.

The Gers suspended the duo who were resoundingly criticised by the club’s support for putting what is a pivotal season at risk with their actions.
But despite Steven Gerrard offering the pair some hope of a return to the squad, ex-Rangers boss Alex McLeish believes Jones could be on his way when the window opens in a few weeks’ time.
“Every player you bring is a gamble unless it’s a proven household name,” said McLeish [Ibrox News].
“I thought Jordan would step up, he’s had some brilliant performances with Kilmarnock in the past, and he’s come through a speed merchant. He scored a really good goal for Rangers [v Motherwell] and I thought wow, this kid has made a comeback.
“At the moment it doesn’t seem to have worked, and he might be another that Stevie is considering to balance the books with, but more importantly let a guy go.”
McLeish’s comments come despite Steven Gerrard suggesting the pair had a future at Ibrox despite the immature Covid-19 breaches earlier in the season.
Gerrard suggested the pair were still to return as he heralded the strength of the Ibrox squad earlier in December.
“This is the best I’ve felt in terms of our squad strength,” said Gerrard [RangersTV].
“I’ve got confidence in the 24 to 25 players that we have got.
“If you take into consideration that we left Roofe and Davis at home for this one while, obviously, Jermain Defoe has got a different plan.
“We’re about to welcome back Edmundson and Jordan Jones in a couple of weeks, too, so I’m super confident in the squad.”

At the moment it remains unclear what Jordan Jones’ future is at Ibrox but should he find his way back into the side it won’t be the first time he’s battled back from the brink.
Rangers fans were also recently praising the Northern Irish international winger for a classy off-field gesture after a Christmas appeal from a supporter in need.
