Rangers star Connor Goldson has slaughtered ex-teammate Shane Duffy after the Irish international defender signed for Celtic.
The Ibrox vice-captain was commenting on the big defender’s post as he sealed a loan deal from Premier League Brighton, with our rivals splashing out £2m on a loan fee and £25k per week on wages to bring the player to Scotland [Sky Sports].
Goldson and Duffy were former teammates from the Ibrox defender’s time on the English south coast with Brighton and he took aim at the defender after the deal was announced.
Replying to the defender’s Instagram post announcing his arrival, Goldson said:
“Does the contract have a 14 day cancellation period?” followed by a facepalm and a vomit emoji.
Relatively staunch from the big man.
Goldson and Duffy spent two years together as teammates at the Amex and will know each other well from that time spent together in England.
It’s the second time in recent weeks the powerful defender has been in the press regarding comments made about Duffy too.
Former Rangers teammate Andy Halliday previously alleged that Goldson told him Duffy “hates” him.
“I’m not even joking here by the way,” said Halliday [Open Goal].

“I’ve been told that the boy Shane Duffy hates me. I’m no even joking, that’s no even a joke, I’ve heard he hates me.
“He’s mad Celtic and Connor Goldon’s like ‘aw Shane Duffy hates you man’.”
