Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos can do no wrong in the eyes of the Ibrox support and the club’s darling forward sent fans into delirium with his latest Tweet.
The Colombian firebrand scored the only goal of the game as Rangers beat Livingston 1-0 at the Tony Macaroni Stadium and was at the centre of things as the box office talent continued to captivate.
Not only did Morelos score but the striker – or rather a refereeing mistake – was the catalyst for Steven Gerrard remonstrating with referee John Beaton at half-time.
Tearing down on goal Morelos was taken out by Livi keeper Max Stryek but instead of being awarded a penalty the striker was awarded a yellow card.
Steven Gerrard was sent off for his vocal complaints at half-time and spent the second half in the stands, but the headlines would belong to Morelos who scored the only goal of the game.
The result leaves Rangers within four points of 55 and the club can be crowned Champions this weekend should results go their way.
Taking to Twitter, Morelos would announce “Every day closer to 55 WATP” and naturally it sent the Rangers support into a delirium only the Colombian can instigate:

Rangers fans are always quick to jump to the defence of the striker and done so again after one commentator in particular continued to pick at him in the win over Livingston.
Gers fans have described the situation as an “agenda” as they demand action against the consistently negative coverage of the player.
