Rangers loanee Jordan Jones played around about an hour for Sunderland as their automatic promotion hopes took a dent away to Shrewsbury.
The Black Cats are now in 7th place in the competitive English third tier after a 2-1 defeat away to the Shropshire club.

Jones, 26, joined the club in January to aid their promotion push but was helpless to resist as they fell to a defeat which leaves them eight points off an automatic promotion place.
Sleeping English giant Sunderland actually took the lead in the match through Andy O’Brien and went into the halftime interval 1-0 up.
However, Ethan Ebanks-Landell would haul Shrewsbury back into the match only seven minutes into the restart before Harry Chapman scored the eventual winner 15 minutes later.
The result means Sunderland have only one win in four in English League One with the Stadium of Light club needing an upturn in fortunes if they’re to gain qualification to the Championship.
The match was Jones’ third in a Sunderland shirt and so far the Northern Irish international has won one game, drew another and lost the third for Lee Johnson’s side.
Upon joining Jones expressed his delight at moving to the English northeast with the former Premier League club.
“I’m absolutely over the moon and I’m delighted to be here,” said Jones [Sunderland Echo].

“I know what football means to people in the North East and how much Sunderland means to the supporters, so hopefully I can bring them some entertainment and good results.”
Jones isn’t the only Rangers loanee out in the English third tier but a fellow Ibrox winger has enjoyed very different fortunes to the ex-Killie star this week.
