Rangers left-back Borna Barisic is now set for an injury sweat ahead of the weekend’s Old Firm clash with Celtic.
The Croatian international, 30, was forced off in the second half of the 5-1 Champions League humiliation at the hands of PSV.
And the situation could be an area of real worry for Rangers given Ridvan Yilmaz is yet to return to action following an early-season injury.
Summer signing Dujon Sterling – traditionally a right-back – replaced Borna Barisic in the Netherlands and could be thrown into the Old Firm clash with Celtic.

Whilst there hasn’t been an update on the situation around Borna Barisic, Rangers fans will wait on injury news on the defender this week.

Borna Barisic latest Rangers injury doubt
The only other player who is a major doubt for the match is ex-Norwich City midfielder Kieran Dowell, who has missed the last two matches for Rangers.
Michael Beale has claimed the injury problem isn’t expected to be a serious one and we shall wait to see if the 25-year-old will be available.
Celtic, on the other hand, are experiencing something of a defensive injury crisis heading into the match.

First choice centre-backs Cameron Carter Vickers and Maik Nawrocki are set for extended spells on the sidelines alongside Stephen Welsh.
The Parkhead side are set to add Liverpool defender Nat Phillips on loan as a result, the defender the son of former Rangers star Jimmy Phillips.
Rangers go into the match with sizeable pressure on Michael Beale’s new-look squad whilst Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is in the midst of a rocky start.
