Rangers Joe Aribo could be set to feature at the World Cup for Nigeria as their playoff opponents were revealed to be Ghana in the Saturday afternoon draw.
Aribo is currently starring for the Super Eagles in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament as they have cruised through the group stages and face Tunisia in the last 16.

The squad would have been awaiting the announcement of their playoff rivals as they are readying themselves for tomorrow’s tie and the result would surely have pleased them.
Ghana suffered a poor early exit from AFCON, finishing bottom of their group and Nigeria will relish facing them as the Black Stars come to terms with this disappointing performance.
Joe Aribo could be heading to the World Cup with Nigeria
Although Nigeria has arguably been one of the teams of the tournament at the AFCON, their World Cup qualification campaign wasn’t exactly littered with excellence.
The Super Eagles finished top of the group, but it wasn’t without a struggle. A 1-1 draw against Cape Verde in their final match was enough for them to qualify for the playoff round.
With fellow African Heavyweights Cameroon and Egypt potentially lying-in wait, Ghana will be seen as a very favourable draw and hopes of a fourth successive World Cup will now be the ultimate aim for the side.

Who knows, Aribo and co could be heading to Qatar as continental champions if everything works out well and they continue to play how they have done in the group stages.
