A leading journalist working for Colombian sporting channel WinSportsTV is claiming he has had it “confirmed” that Alfredo Morelos has “formally requested” to leave Rangers.
Morelos has been a regular on WinSportsTV in the last few months which would suggest they are close enough to the player, with journo Pipe Sierra claiming Lille have made an £18m (€20m) bid.

As a result Sierra is alleging that Morelos has asked Ibrox bosses to accept the offer in what are “decisive hours” between Rangers and Lille.
Unidiomatically translated the Colombian journalist’s tweet reads:
“CONFIRMED: Colombian forward Alfredo Morelos (24) has formally requested the #Rangers to accept the 20M offer € made by him #Lille . Decisive hours.”
Rangers are believed to have rejected a £16.25m offer for the striker earlier in the month, with Steven Gerrard’s side holding out for closer to £20m [Daily Mail].
But after Morelos was dropped for the 2-0 win over Kilmarnock at the weekend, Gers boss Steven Gerrard took aim at the striker.
“I only want players who are hungry for the shirt,” said Gerrard [BBC Sport].

“If I see people who are not focused or who have taken their eye off the ball and not really, really hungry to get this football club results, I have to make easy decisions and Alfredo made it easy for me this week.”
This tweet also comes after another WinSportsTV journalist, Carlos Aleman, claimed that there would “announcements soon” with negotiations between Rangers and Lille “reactivated”.
