Rangers star Glen Kamara featured in a four-goal international thriller on Wednesday.

Kamara has been a key player for the Gers this season, starting all 13 of the club’s European matches and making 43 appearances in total.

He’s similarly, if not more important, to the Finland national team and he started in midfield as they took on Bosnia and Herzegovina in Helsinki in their first fixture since November 2020.

The Gers man was booked after half an hour in an otherwise quiet first half of the World Cup Qualifying Group D clash.

The game burst into life following the interval, though, with four goals coming between the 55th and 84th minutes.

Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic put the visitors in front, only for Teemu Pukki to equalise for Finland soon after.

Pukki then gave the hosts the lead in the 77th minute, but winger Miroslav Stevanovic snatched his side a point with six minutes of normal time remaining.

The draw is a disappointing result for Kamara and co., who will be hoping to qualify for a second major tournament in a row after booking a spot at the European Championships which were rescheduled for this summer.

They have a chance to make amends for their early slip-up on Sunday with a tricky away fixture against Ukraine in Lviv before they finish a hectic international block with a friendly against Switzerland in St Gallen next Wednesday.

Kamara wasn’t the only Rangers star in international action last night, with a second hooked at half-time in a shock defeat.
