Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has thrown his support behind under-fire Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard as the Liverpool legend toils in Glasgow.
The Ibrox side has dropped points in five domestic league games since the turn of 2020 and exited the Scottish Cup at the hands of Hearts.
It’s left the club’s domestic season in tatters but Halliday insists that the last thing any of the players want is to see Gerrard walk.

“We’ve said since the manager walked through the door that he’s black and white,” said Gerrard [Scottish Sun].
“His honesty is refreshing because that’s all you ask for in a manager.
“If you asked every player in the squad, they would tell you the one thing they don’t want to happen is for the gaffer to leave.
“And for that not to happen, we need to buck up our ideas quickly.
“His disappointment filters through to us because we’ve let him and the fans down again.”
It’s in stark contrast to results and performances on the pitch which have been that poor they birthed rumours of an incident off the pitch in Dubai causing the capitulation.

These have since been rubbished by a club insider [Four Lads] and Halliday’s comments show that this side is committed behind the Ibrox gaffer.
Can they show it on the pitch by turning this woeful form around and finishing what is now looking like another trophyless season strongly?
