Rangers star Alfredo Morelos sends fans wild with defiant three-word tweet

Alfredo Morelos has sent Rangers fans wild with a defiant tweet posted after his Europa League brace against Sparta Prague.

Morelos has come in for plenty of criticism this season, with supporters and pundits highlighting issues with his fitness levels and application.

He was well below-par in Sunday’s League Cup semi-final defeat to Hibernian at Hampden but he bounced back with a match-winning display at Ibrox on Thursday night.

Rangers needed to win by two goals to have a chance of securing second place in the group with a game to spare and El Bufalo bagged a brace while Allan McGregor’s heroics helped to keep a crucial clean sheet.

Morelos’ first goal was a fine first-time finish into the bottom left corner after being picked out by Ianis Hagi and his second was put on a plate by Sparta centre-back Filip Panak.

The 25-year-old was clearly delighted to be back amongst the goals – that’s nine for the season – and on Friday, he sent a defiant message to his critics on Twitter.

‘Más fuerte que nunca’, he captioned a snap of him celebrating, which translates to ‘stronger than ever.’

Unsurprisingly, the tweet went down extremely well with supporters.

Here’s a selection of reactions:

Meanwhile, the manager of a rival club has provided an update on the status of a Rangers-linked international.
