Rangers SLO Greg Marshall has apologised to supporters on Twitter who are unhappy about their faces not appearing on the fan mosaic inside Ibrox.
With matches currently taking place behind-closed-doors, Rangers followed in the footsteps of many Premier League clubs by offering fans the chance to have their photographs displayed in the stands.
On Thursday morning, Rangers photographer Luke Nickerson posted a thread of images of the mosaic currently on display at Ibrox, leading to something of a backlash from supporters who couldn’t place themselves.
As a result, Rangers SLO Marshall was forced to respond on Friday night, admitting that not everyone who had paid for a spot had yet been included.
“We apologise to the small number of fans whose picture has not been updated to our fan mosaic at Ibrox stadium,” he wrote on Twitter.
“This is still a work in progress and will be completed by our next home fixture.”
The apology was accepted by some but plenty were left incensed by what they view as an unacceptably slow turnaround from the club.
Many of the images on the mosaics are significantly distorted and some fans will not have their photos in place at all until the visit of Kilmarnock next Saturday, despite paying a fee in advance of the season.
