The exciting technology will be installed in the coming months and provide WIFI to all Rangers supporters on matchdays free of charge.

Sky are the number one providers of entertainment and communication in the UK and Sky WIFI is the number one WIFI provider to stadiums in the UK.

On top of this, additional LED advertising will be installed inside Ibrox opening up new commercial opportunities at the club.

Rangers will also endeavour to install EPOS digital payment systems in the stadium, allowing for a variety of digital payments and ensuring supporters do not need to pay with cash in the hospitality areas or kiosks.

On top of that, the club has also entered a partnership with betting company Low6 to create a new club app which “will contain a number of club-related features and provide engaging content for all supporters”.

Rangers commercial and marketing director James Bisgrove commented on the exciting new developments.

“We’re committed to ensuring Ibrox is ready for supporters, as soon as it’s deemed safe to welcome fans back to the stadium,” said Bisgrove [Rangers].

“These advancements to the stadium technology are important steps in the modernisation of our infrastructure and ensuring our digital transformation strategy is fully integrated across all supporter touch points.

“We’re delighted to be placing further foundations ahead of our 150th Year anniversary celebrations in 2022, as we continue to progress with plans for Edmiston House.

“The new WIFI technology, EPOS payment systems and LED advertising systems will all elevate the match day experience and we will continue our commitment in ensuring Ibrox Stadium is recognized as a leading European venue.”

These further digital transformations come after the club launched a new state-of-the-art website, an evolved Ready crest and signalled their intention to digitally revolutionise the club back in July.
