Rangers shareholders Club 1872 condemn "false accusations" of MSP

Rangers fans group and club shareholders Club 1872 have condemned what they call “demonstrably false accusations” by SNP politician James Dornan.
The group released a strongly worded statement in response to claims by the MSP for Glasgow Cathcart that “Club 1872 abuse me regularly on their website.”
In the statement the group also condemn what they call Dornan’s attempts at “smearing groups and individuals” before bringing into question his suitability for office.

The comments come amid the ongoing debate on sectarianism across Scotland. Club 1872 believe that Mr. Dornan, who has previously suggested being the convenor of a Cross Party group on Combatting Sectarianism, isn’t fit to do so.

Club 1872 with strong words on the issue

The group say bluntly that they “do not believe that Mr Dornan is a fit and proper person to act as convener of that group”. They also intimate their intentions to write to colleagues to request his removal.
The group then point to an incident involving James Dornan “where he posed in front of the flag of a proscribed terrorist organisation.”
They then urge Rangers Football Club to be “extremely cautious” of Dornan’s motives. Club 1872 then invites any group willing to “genuinely address” the issues of sectarianism to open a dialogue with them. They explicitly propose that “Mr Dornan does not fall into that bracket.”
