Rangers' Seville trip makes World’s Strongest Man the World’s Happiest Man

The World’s Strongest Man, Tom Stoltman has praised Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s tactical abilities ahead of the Europa League Final in Seville.

Rangers reached the Europa League Final in stunning fashion on Thursday evening as Lundstram’s 80th minute strike secured a 3-2 aggregate victory to take the light blues to Seville.

We reported earlier that over 100,000 Rangers fans are expected to make the trip to Spain, with only 9,500 official tickets being sold through Rangers.

Speaking on BBC Football Focus on Saturday morning, the diehard Rangers fan said: “It’s obviously Gerrard’s team but I think Gio in the last few games, Celtic last week, the semi-final of the cup and the European semi-final has got it tactically right.”

He then spoke about John Lundstram’s and praised the midfielder’s form and Gio giving him a new lease of life.

“Lundstram has come into the team and what an unbelievable player he’s turned into. As I said, Gerrard has built this team, but Gio has took over and got his tactics spot on – one or two signings from him and the team could go all the way.”

In June 2021, Stoltman made history and became the first ever Scot to be crowned the World’s Strongest Man in California, beating the USA’s Brian Shaw by three points.

It was a great couple of months for the Scot who seen his beloved Rangers lift their historic 55th title in May and then become a World Champion in June.

The event will be held in California again this year from 24th to 29th of May, just a week or so after Rangers reach Seville and play in the Scottish Cup Final against Hearts at Hampden.

Let’s hope Stoltman can be celebrating a treble of victories by the end of May.
