As Rangers prepare to visit Portugal for the second time this season two tribes prepare to meet in the Iberian nation – and we’re not talking about on the pitch.

Rangers are scheduled to play Portuguese outfit Braga on Wednesday the 26th of February because group opponents Porto are scheduled to play German giants Bayer Leverkusen the day after.

With the two cities a mere 44-minute drive from each other it means the Ibrox legion will descend on Portugal at the same time as their German counterparts.

It’s all set up for one hell of a party in Portugal with Rangers fans and Bayer Leverkusen fans set to descend on the European nation within a day of each other.

There’s sure to be plenty of beer and conversation as the two groups overlap in the city of Porto and perhaps even the city of Braga.

The promise of a party with supporters of the German outfit may also soften to the blow for Rangers fans after the draw essentially takes them back to the same region in which they played Porto.

Not that too many were complaining about the outcome of the draw at all.

Rangers escaped tricky ties against the likes of Ajax, Salzburg, Inter Milan, Manchester United and Arsenal by drawing Braga in the Europa League last 32.
