Rangers are reportedly set to announce some major Alfredo Morelos contract news, as doubts remain over £7m man Ryan Kent.
Both players are now into the final year of their contracts and if Rangers cannot sign them up then they will need to ship them on or risk losing them for nothing next season.

It’s a major dilemma given the fact that both players are regarded as major assets and as previously explained, Ryan Kent cost the club £7m from Liverpool in 2019.
But whilst doubts remain around 25-year-old winger Kent, Colombian firebrand Morelos looks to be closing in on a new deal with the Ibrox club as he works his way back from injury.
That’s according to the Herald, who believe that Alfredo Morelos is set to sign a new long-term contract with Rangers that will see him commit his prime years to the club.
The report believes that a deal is already “all-but in place” to see Morelos, 26, commit himself to Rangers but there remains some conjecture over the length of the contract.
Whatever the case, signing up the striker can only be seen as good business from a Rangers point of view and the club’s supporters will be delighted if a new Alfredo Morelos contract is made official.
The Herald report comes after comments from manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst following an Ibrox training day, where Morelos was seen returning to first team training after a lengthy injury lay-off.
Morelos has been missing since the turn of the year after sustaining the issue on international duty with Colombia.
Van Bronckhorst hints new Rangers contract for Alfredo Morelos close
Speaking after the session, van Bronckhorst confirmed that talks between Rangers and Alfredo Morelos over a new contract were going positively.
“At the moment he is training in a big part of the session, which is a good sign,” said van Bronckhorst.
“Every session he looks better and sharper so we are monitoring his development really closely in the coming weeks because when he is fit he is one option for me up front.
“We all know his quality. I would rather have him back as quickly as possible.
“I am only looking at his physical fitness at the moment. He has been out for a long time but is working really hard to get back to the levels that he has to be to perform in games.
“Of course the other issue is the contract he has. He is very positive about signing a new contract, we are doing our best to get Morelos to sign a new contract as well.
“Hopefully in the next coming weeks we will sort it out but the talks are going.”

Once Alfredo Morelos’ contract situation is resolved, the attention of Rangers fans will quickly turn to the influential Ryan Kent who no-one at Ibrox will want to see leave the Gers for free.
If either or both players sign new contracts, they will follow the likes of Connor Goldson, Scott Arfield, Steven Davis and Allan McGregor in renewing this season.
Meanwhile, visiting Rangers fans to Ibrox are set to be impacted by a series of frustrating subway strikes.
