Rangers secret agent sends tweet after landing blow on rivals Celtic

Rangers secret agent Ben Williamson has sent a tweet after it was mission complete for the Livingston loanee who played in a 1-0 victory over Celtic.

The Gers had would threaten to hand some initiative to the Parkhead side amid their trip to the Tony Macaroni by playing out an eventual 1-1 draw on Flag Day to Motherwell.

The Aussie coach has now lost to Hearts, Rangers and Livingston on his travels with ex-Rangers midfielder Andrew Shinnie the hero of the day in West Lothian.

The Gers Academy product started up front for David Martindale’s side and put in a selfless shift topped up with a wonderful winning goal after Shinnie lashed it high past Joe Hart.

This victory is Martindale’s first of the season and Rangers fans would’ve been delighted the draw with Steelmen didn’t cost their side too much.

Rangers secret agent Williamson, 20, joined Livingston at the beginning of the season after a successful spell on loan with Arbroath last season.

Rangers were unconvincing in the second half against Motherwell and failed to dispatch several chances to win the match at Ibrox.

The game was also marked by the club’s Flag Day commemorating title number 55, with the event being branded “anticlimactic” by some supporters.
