Rangers didn’t quite manage to make it all the way to the top of the Scottish Premiership last night, however, Philippe Clement continues to tick a lot of boxes.
The Gers boss wants his squad to be relentless and, in his post-match press conference, explained why keeping such a high tempo wasn’t just about scoring one more goal last night.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Rangers Review journalist, Joshua Barrie, reckons that there is one key aspect missing from Philippe Clement’s CV at Ibrox so far.

Rangers have one more box to tick under Philippe Clement
Everything that Clement said he was going to deliver, he has.
There were never any specific claims about European or domestic football but there was plenty of talk about intenstiy, entertainment, winning and getting the synergy back with fans.
All of which have been achieved.
He knows that if Rangers focus on the small details and keep things simple, then success will follow and taking each game one at a time is a strategy that is working so far.
There is though, one nagging doubt that remains, according to Barrie:
“Until they go and win those big games with big players, that’s what this season is hanging on.
“I think that’s also the only thing Rangers haven’t really done through Clement so far because they’ve topped the Europa League group, they’ve won the cup, now we need to see what happens over the next couple of months.”
It’s the Old Firm.
Pure and simple.
Rangers have lost two this season are are still level on points and goal difference with Celtic and there is every chance that the remaining two will decide the destination of the title.
The performance at Parkhead was one that could easily have secured Rangers points on another occasion – there was also the display from the officials – but Philippe Clement will be keen to prove a point when the two sides next meet at Ibrox.
Not only will the points be critical, but the psychological effect will also be huge too.
Barrie is right, it’s the one remaining doubt that needs to be put to bed.
