Rangers have been rocked by the news that five first-team players are set to be out with injury ahead of the club’s match with Aberdeen.

Rangers are about to enter a pivotal part of the season but will be without three key first-teamers and two squad players for at least the next week.

Gers gaffer Steven Gerrard revealed that influential midfielder Scott Arfield has a been wearing a boot for a “significant” ankle ligament knock which will keep him out for four-five weeks.

Ryan Jack has seen an extended spell on the side-lines since returning from the last international break but more positively he should be back in full training next week.

On top of that, frozen out Rangers pair Jordan Jones and George Edmundson are also set for an extended spell on the side-lines.

The duo hasn’t featured since being handed a seven-game band for breaching Covid-19 protocols in November and Steven Gerrard revealed that both players are both carrying knocks.

Northern Irish international Jones has a back issue whilst George Edmundson is worryingly off to see a specialist regarding an issue in his hip.

That means five players are set to miss the clash with Aberdeen with the Rangers squad set to be tested ahead of a challenging January.

Here’s how we fancy the Gers to line up at Pittodrie as they look to make it 15 wins on the bounce in the Scottish Premiership.
