Rangers respond after Jude Bellingham blown away by Ibrox

Rangers have responded on Twitter after Borussia Dortmund released a video showing Jude Bellingham’s reaction to Ibrox.

18-year-old Bellingham is one of the top talents in world football and he showed a glimpse of what he’s capable of in the first leg of the Europa League knockout playoff against Rangers last week with a brilliantly taken goal.

After the game, he drew praise from Rangers fans for stating that he was excited to play at Ibrox, which he regards as “one of the best stadiums in Europe when it’s packed on a European night” [Football Scotland].

And on Wednesday evening, he delighted Bears even more when his reaction to the famous ground was caught on camera.

In a video released by BVB’s official Twitter account, which has 4 million followers, Bellingham can be seen emerging from the tunnel and briefly looking around before exclaiming “what a gaff”.

By the time of writing, the post had received over 9k likes and hundreds of responses.

One of the responses came from Rangers, who took the opportunity to get behind the England international’s assessment.

Quote tweeting BVB’s post, the official Rangers account replied “What a gaff.’ We agree,’ and also included a home emoji.

Rangers’ response had racked up just under 10k likes by the time of writing.

There have been several respectful exchanges between the two clubs on social media in the build up to this game, but soon there’ll be a battle on the pitch.

Rangers are favourites to go through after their stunning 4-2 victory in the first leg, but they can’t afford to let their standards slip, with BVB showing in the Bundesliga at the weekend just how dangerous a side with damaged pride can be.

Meanwhile, an exciting Rangers teenager was snapped in training on Wednesday as he eyes a first Europa League squad inclusion.
